Behzad Dabu is an actor based in Los Angeles. He has worked extensively on stage at some of the best theaters in the country, especially in Chicago and LA, and is a proud company member at TimeLine Theatre Company. With a passion for working with playwrights and new play development, he originated roles "Samsara" at Victory Gardens Theatre, for which he was nominated for a Jeff Award - Best Actor and also originated the role of 'Abe' in the Pulitzer Prize-winning and Tony-nominated play, "Disgraced" which he performed all over the country. Recent productions include “I Hate it Here” at the Goodman Theatre and “Put Your House in Order” at La Jolla Playhouse.
On screen, you can see him in How To Get Away With Murder, The Chi, and The Lion Guard. He has been featured in dozens of episodes of TV, several award-winning short films, as well as various audiobooks, podcasts, and national commercials.
Behzad is the Director of Acting for Hillman Grad, a faculty member at Last Acting Studio, and the Acting Coach for the TV series The CHI. He strives to be a strong advocate in regards to representation in the arts and media; and is a founding member of The Chicago Inclusion Project, which seeks to level the playing field and provide resources in the arts for people of color, women, LGBTQ+, and people with disabilities. Kausar Mohammed is a queer, Muslim, South Asian actor and writer. Onscreen, she is known for her roles as superhero Dr. Meena Dhawan (Fast Track) on The CW’s The Flash and Soraya Abbas on The 4400. She also voices the beloved lead character, Yaz, in the hit animated Jurassic World franchises and as the iconic Cleo in Nickelodeon’s Monster High. Her recent theatre work includes starring as Elizabeth Darcy in TheatreWorks Silicon Valley’s production of Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley. She is also a founding member of the distinguished all-South Asian sketch comedy troupe The Get Brown, which ran three seasons of continuously sold-out shows at Upright Citizens Brigade Los Angeles. Her one-person piece, Short, Little, Green Men, was commissioned by the Contemporary Asian Theatre Scene’s inaugural AAPI Playwrights Festival.
As a writer, she is an awardee of the Sundance Building Bridges Fellowship and the CAPE New Writers Fellowship. Her project horror-comedy project Exorsisters was awarded on the inaugural Blacklist x Bay List 2025. She wrote and starred in the queer romcom The Syed Family Xmas Eve Game Night, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and was acquired by a major studio for development.
